The Hawaiian Mission Houses is a historic Site which comprises of the Frame House, the Chamberlain House and the Printing Office which was built between 1821 and 1841. The museum has a wide range and collection of small exhibits and artefacts right from the early missionary’s way of life, a recreation of a medical dispensary, chamber pots in the rooms and quilts on the beds. There are small exhibitions which feature on children’s toys, portrait-making, quilts and reading. It also includes a library which has over 12,000 printed works, handwritten missionary journals and a printing press which was used to create the first written Hawaiian language materials. Don't miss the old coral Kawaiaha’o Mission Church and the state’s first Christian cemetery which is still in use today. These places are listed in the historic places of Hawaii.
