About Bishop Museum and Planetarium

 Bishop Museum and Planetarium was built in the memory of late Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop, which as well as the largest museum in Hawaii. It has some of the best and unique collections of Polynesian culture, some rare artifacts, personal belongings of Hawaiian kings, and queens which is its exclusive collection. 

As you explore the Museum you will come across Nā Mea Makamae a Kahiko where there is information about the past, history. You can indulge yourself in a Garden Tour where you can learn a lot in depth about a well-maintained garden since that era. There's something really exciting for kids, however, even the adults can enjoy it if they wish to. The Planetarium Show where they get to learn and enjoy a lot about the earth. NASA, star, space, sky, etc and not only this there is a Hot Spot Rock where you can see Lava Demo For Kids to watch a rock melting in front of you. So it is a must-visit with friends and family.

  • The planetarium program for the night sky is a must-see as it's quite informative and they even invite you to look through the telescope in the observatory
