About Roman Forum

Forum Romanum or the Roman Forum was the living and breathing heart of ancient Rome. Numerous ancient Roman governmental buildings are found scattered throughout this enormous plaza and have cemented its place as the world's most famed meeting place in all of history. The Forum established itself firmly as the hub of most political, religious, social and economic activity in the city with several impressive temples and monuments and important historical sites located throughout the plaza. Even now, this magnificent plaza is being excavated, unearthing more of its buried historical buildings.
