Mode & Cost of Transports

Buses: In Florence, orange buses run on the roads and there are some new models of buses also available, The buses are run under the "ATAF" system. You need to buy tickets before entering the bus because conductors in the buses are not selling tickets. If you are failed to buy tickets in advance, then you need to buy tickets from the driver which is more costly.

Trams: Florence's first tram line is T1. It runs from Scandicci to SMN station. You can buy tram tickets from ATAF or tickets are available in every 26 stations in the T1 tram line.

Taxis: Florence has two main taxi groups, Taxi Socota, and Taxi Radio. The taxi rent is a little bit confusing. So you need to consult with the taxi driver after entering in the taxi. Always keep it in mind that you need to pay an extra price for your luggage. It is probably 1 Euro per suitcase.

Renting bikes: There are several opportunities available in Florence to hire a private bike to travel to any place in the city. The municipality of Florence sponsored this system. The rent of the bikes is at a reasonable price. It is more or less 10 Euro.
