About Tianzifang

Tianzifang otherwise mentioned as Tianzi Fang is located in the old French quarter and is the best place for tourist shopping. It is also known as Lane 210. This attraction was cited as a favorite tourist attraction by the New York Times. This is the best place for unique items, boutique shops, bars, restaurants, craft shops, cafes, design houses, studios, and a few International shops as well. The place becomes romantic and beautiful during the evening because of the lights. The area preserves its original architecture and still has residences in the building area above the shops. So, try not to enter the residential area. Hence, it is better to have Google Map with you for your reference if you are not accompanied by any tourist guide.

The building architecture is constructed in the "Shikumen" style, which means stone-gate style. There are some French colonial style building too. You can also visit some special art workshops run by famous artists of China. This is the best place for shopping lovers, art lovers and also for foodies.

How to reach

Taxi: The street market is located 4.1 km from the city and can be reached in 11 minutes.

Bus: Take bus number 41, 96, 104, 146, 301, 864 and get off at Ruijin Yiyuan Station to reach the attraction.

 

Tips

  • Most shops and restaurants close around 10 pm.
  • Avoid visiting on holidays as it is crowded.
  • Take a camera for clicking photos, but few shops do not allow photography.
  • Buy only if you are good at striking a bargain or take some local guide for shopping
  • Wear comfortable shoes and clothes, ladies should avoid wearing heals because walking fast isn't possible as roads are narrow
  • Take care of your belongings.
