The Seattle Aquarium opened in 1977, shows the best sea life. It's the country's ninth largest. The aquarium is made of six major collections, they focus on different species. The six main exhibits which make up the Seattle Aquarium are Life on the Edge, Pacific Coral Reel, Window on Washington Waters, Birds & Shores, Underwater Dome, and Marine Mammals. One section has birds around area, other shows shark exhibition. The aquarium underwent a major expansion, In 2007, by this 18,000 square feet has been added to its size. Later recently in 2013, a cafe and a gift store were added. The 120,000-gallon tank is home for rockfish and salmon. One of the interesting parts is the performance of Divers, there are daily shows and they interact with visitors through the glass. The Life on the Edge exhibit includes two pools Washington’s shoreline and inland sea, where visitors can know about the tidepool life. The Birds and Shores have three sections, which show birds in a variety of natural habitats. You can see fish living in and around man-made reefs in a 25,000-gallon tank in the Pacific Coral Reel. In the Marine Mammals section, you get a chance to view exhibits for sea and river otters, seals and other creatures. Watching fishes having food is great fun. There is a touching pool area, here you can touch sea creatures.
