Golden Gate Park is a rectangular 1,017-acre park in San Francisco, California. It is three miles long, and a half-mile wide. It is often compared to Central Park in New York City, but it is 20% larger.
Take a segway tour through the meadows and groves, and around the lakes. The Conservatory of Flowers is one of the oldest conservatories in the United States. Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee at the Japanese Tea Garden and have your photo taken on the picturesque Drum Bridge. Visit the de Young Museum and go up to the observation tower for a 360 degree view of the park. Don’t forget to wave to the buffalo that call the Golden Gate Park home.
Leave the stress of the city outside its borders and enjoy gardens, playgrounds, lakes, picnic groves, trails, and monuments, music, and cultural events.
It’s an oasis where you can reconnect with fresh air and literally stop and smell the flowers.
