The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) is one of the largest and best art museums in the US. The renovated museum opened in 2016 and quickly became a sensation in the art world - both for the building's stunning architecture and its permanent collection and curated exhibitions.
The museum holds over 33,000 artworks across 10 floors. All the big guns are here: Jeff Koons, Frida Kahlo, Picasso, Henry Matisse, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein. And the exhibitions are not to be missed. Go to the top floor and work your way downwards. Linger and soak in the ambiance. When you feel hungry, dine at one of the three classy restaurants, and resume your museum tour.
