About Uc Serefeli Camii

One of the very old mosques in Edirne, the architectural wonder and sheer size of the building draws several tourists here annually. Decorated with unique tile work; some of the most beautiful engravings and calligraphy work, the mosque sets an example of intrinsic architecture. Boasting of three distinct minarets and several miniature domes the mosque's distinct feel is what pulls it apart from the rest. Severely damaged by two consequent natural calamities, it was again restored and recreated conserving the original sentiment of the sacred site.
