The Edirne forest has countless species of trees, a shaded walkway, a riverfront area and lots of natural reserves to imbibe in the serenity. The forest is a vast expanse of open area with natural habitat and vegetation in Edirne. It is a place to relax and languish amidst the green camouflage planted around. The park has a well-maintained picnic area that is frequented both by locals and tourists. The two rivers Meric` and Tunca are the highlights of the park and make for great places to explore. With long, planted walking trails and children playing grounds, the place demands a good amount of time to explore its many nooks and corners.
Meriç and Tunca Rivers are the two most important rivers of Edirne known as “water city.” Around these rivers are recreation areas and recreational facilities.
