Among the several local museums in Edirne, the Archeological and Ethnographic Museum is one of the well-organized museums. The tombstones of the Ottoman period are one of the major attractions at the entrance of the museum's garden. Divided into two major sections, Archeology and Ethnography, the museum showcases a wide variety of ancient things. Beginning with the fossils of the Paleontological period, the archeology section has the fragments of defenses, jawbone, teeth, and vertebrae of the rhinoceros and horse species belonging to the end of the period. The Ethnography section on the other side has embroidery, carpets tombak ewers, incense burners, goblets, jewelry, clothing, etc. to grab all the eyes of the visitors.
The museum is in the center of Edirne on Kadirpaşa Mektep street. It is just behind the famous Selimiye mosque.
