Lake Eymir is a slice of heaven inside the capital city. It was named after a Turkmen tribe ‘Eymür.’ Away from the business, the traffic and the noise of the city, this place is a retreat in which nature and silence can be enjoyed. The lake is part of a natural park with a perimeter of 10 km. It's common for visitors to go around walking, jogging or cycling with a bike that can be rented at the entrance of the park. There are some picnic areas all along the lake. Also, there is a historic building which has become a restaurant with a burning fireplace for use during the winter. There is an amazing garden next to the lake full of tables to enjoy the summer days outside.
