Josip Broz Tito Mausoleum or "House of Flowers', is the mausoleum of the so-called Josip Broz Tito commonly known as Tito, a Yugoslav communist revolutionary and statesman, serving in different roles since 1943 till his death in 1980, his wife Jovanka Broz was buried too. Tito being a popular public figure both in Yugoslavia and abroad, the mausoleum was named after him, though his presidency has been criticized as authoritarian and a benevolent dictator. However, he was seen as a unifying symbol because of his internal policies he succeeded in maintaining the peaceful coexistence and co-habitation of the nations of the Yugoslav federation. That’s why many visitors handed his baton on the occasion of celebrating his birthday. In fact, The House of Flowers is full of special gifts which Tito received during his time as president.
