About Butterfly Valley

The Butterfly Valley, located near Oludeniz, is a coastal beauty. Time here seems to have come to a standstill. This island, which has the hills almost emerging out of the Mediterranean Sea, is home to roughly 100 species of butterflies. The valley takes its name from the tiger butterfly species that come here in the month of June and remain till late October. It is a preserved site today with zero commercialization. The valley is famous for its beach, canyon, and waterfall. If you want to look at its mesmerizing beauty, go to the top of the Faralya region within which the valley is situated and take a look at the breathtaking view. The site is full of numerous trails ranging from coast to waterfall. A perfect destination for people who want to seek peace in the lap of nature; one can spend the night beneath the stars and live a calm and simple life!

  • You’ll have to get in touch with the Butterfly Valley Management before you head off to this nature reserve
  • Don't forget to carry your camera. There is a large canyon that is considered to be one of the most picturesque and amazing places in Turkey. A stunning paradise, where the mountains emerge from the deep blue sea
  • Travelers get accustomed to living in simple tents or bungalows
  • Butterflies can be seen only in summer
  • Hiking, camping, canoeing, and scuba diving can be done
  • Don't go there at the end of October. You won't spot butterflies
  • Don't wear flip-flops. Wear trainers or other appropriate footwear since you will be walking a lot
  • Carry an umbrella to shield yourself from the sun
