The architecture, furniture and paintings in the house are inspiring, giving a direct insight into the beginnings of the world-renowned artist, Victor Vasnetsov. Not only were his paintings soothing to the eye but resonated with the public as they were based on Russian stories, legends and folk art. Furniture in his house was inspired by all these. It's like a fairytale inside. A real hidden gem of the city. The place looks very cosy and the keepers are very friendly. Decorated in colorful revivalist style, it is a gem for those who are fans of Russian mythological art. Vasnetsov's paintings are inexpressibly beautiful and make it a must visit for the tourists.
