Built in the 19th century under the commission of Queen Adelaide, the cathedral was created for Anglican worship. This church has a 19th-century facade, but the inside has been designed as per 16th-century architecture. The cathedral has several reserves, including a dazzling gilded figure of St. Paul, sculpted in Rome in the 1650s. The tradition is that it is carried publically through the roads of Valletta on the saint's festival day, i.e.,10 February. There's also a golden reliquary bearing some bones from the saint's wrist, and part of the column on which he is said to have been executed in Rome.
The church is in the city center. It takes 3 minutes to walk there.
