The Cimitero Monumentale is one of the two largest cemeteries and more than just an outdoor museum. The cemetery has a special section for those who do not belong to the Catholic religion as well as the Jewish section. The entrance to the cemetery is through the large Famedio, a big hall built with marble and stone. It is just near to the entrance, and there is a permanent exhibition of prints, photographs, and maps which outlines the cemetery's historical development.
