Nanjing City Wall is a masterpiece of Chinese architecture. It embodies the cryptic designs of the Chinese archaic graffiti, and the majestic splendour of the ancient Chinese architecture. This cultural relic dates back to the time of the historical Ming dynasty. Thus, Nanjing City Wall is made up of four parts. The first is the outside part called Outer City. Then, there is the Inner City followed by the Imperial City, and Palace City. The walls are engraved with cryptic ancient inscriptions. These are masterly works of the scholars, artisans, and the folk people of this majestic empire. It is said that 200000 workers worked for twenty years to build this wall. One must definitely visit here to see this grand piece of stone and art work.
