The Kabul National Museum is the pinnacle of cultural significance in Kabul. The museum had humble beginnings, housing only artifacts and exhibitions of a few royal families, but today it boasts of exhibitions spanning over several millennia. Perhaps its charm as a cultural hotspot is what drew the war and its destruction towards it. The war had destroyed many priceless pieces of history and left the museum in very bad shape. But in the spirit of Kabul, revival is in the heart of the people. The museum is going through heavy recovery work to repair many of the destroyed pieces. The museum showcases exhibitions and cultures from all around the world and all over time. The museum has also opened its walls to many of Kabul's upcoming artists to showcase their art and promote them, bolstering the artists in Kabul's passion. The museum is still one of the most popular attractions in Kabul, attracting the local populace as well as the tourists to come and experience all that Kabul has to show.
