The Kabul City Center is the biggest and most successful mall in Kabul. Built in 2005, it was the first indoor shopping mall in the city and has since seen the city modernize around it. The City Center is also reinforced with blast-resistant glass and has a security screening before the entrance, keeping in mind the danger the city faces every day. The mall itself is beautifully constructed and has a host of shops inside it that sell a lot of different and varied products. There is even a coffeehouse inside that serves food and drinks for all the patrons inside the mall to enjoy. The mall features escalators and transparent elevators, which were revolutionary at the time of its construction back in 2005. The mall remains one of the biggest modern projects in Kabul and urges it to keep moving forward and modernize. Kabul City Center is also unsurprisingly one of the most visited places in the entire city, despite not having any history or being a monument, which in itself is an ode to its success.
