Bukhara Bazaars
Bukhara is not only famous for mosques and monuments. Its prime location on Silk Route makes it one of the most happening trading centres of the historic era. Out of all the structures, only four domes have survived.
Toqi Sarrofon Bazaar- Mekhtar Anbar St., Bukhara
Beside the Lyabi Khauz stands a dome. it was one of the largest currency exchangers of Central Asia. But today the trade has changed to carpets, kerchiefs and other souvenirs.
Toqi Telpak Furushon Bazaar- Bukhara
This market place is famous for tools and knives. A blacksmith is always present there showcasing his skills of creating them. This massive complex holds musical instruments for selling.
Tim Abdullah Khan Trading Dome- Bukhara
This dome is located in one of the streets across but not on crossroads. Small windows in its structure and it is beside location keeps the market cool for a good shopping experience.
Toqi Zargaron Bazaar- Bukhara
This is the largest trading dome of the four. It is just beside the Po-i Kalyan complex. The name zaragon is translated as 'goldsmith'. It used to hold 36 goldsmiths at one time and is believed to be the first trading centre amongst the four Bukhara Bazaars. You can enjoy shopping for jewellery, various household and accessories.
