Baha-ud-din Naqshband Bokhari Memorial Complex
Baha-ud-din Naqshband Bokhari Complex is one of the most important Muslim shrines. It is built in the memory of a Sufi saint and philosopher, Baha-ud-din Naqshband. The principle of the philosopher was simple' Heart to God, Hands to work'. The famous Sufi saint had paid homage to Mecca 32 times. He always urged people to remain modest and to be kind and affectionate.Abdulaza Khan ordered the complex to be built. It came around 1544 and took 4 centuries to complete. The lying trunk of a mulberry tree is believed to fulfil wishes and wash away sins. Locals believe that if one walks to the complex 3 times from Bukhara, it is equivalent to one Hajj. The complex has a museum that displays Sufi books, Sufism, Sufi wearing and lots of information about Baha-ud-din Naqshbandi. A visit to the sacred shrine will surely make your experience serene and soulful.
