This Archaeological Museum of Istanbul located very near to the Topkapi Palace holds many archaeological findings and ancient wares of the Ottoman Empire, including various artifacts from the middle east and Turkey. This spectacular Museum comprises of 3 complexes, the Museum of the Ancient Orient; the main Archaeology Museum; and the Tiled Pavilion of Mehmet the Conqueror. This Museum is not just known for its regal interiors but also for what it holds. Its most important exhibits include the inscription of the Treaty of Kadesh, while the main museum has statuary and sarcophagi.of the prehistoric period. The last complex held artifacts of collections from the Seljuk and Ottoman empires, the Tile Mihrabthe, beautiful Candle Hanger, and several other artifacts decorated with patterns made from Iznik tiles.
