Djerba is the largest island of North Africa, off the coast of Tunisia.
There are so many things to see and do in Djerba. White sandy beaches and little desert towns call to visitors. Relax by picking up souvenirs at the handicraft markets or go fishing on the coast. Be sure to visit Borj el Kebir, the 16th-century castle and fortress, and the El Ghriba Synagogue, the largest castle and the oldest synagogue in Tunisia. Jewish influence can be seen everywhere here.
Star Wars fans can pay a visit to Obi-Wan Kenobi’s house and the Mos Eisley Cantina from the first movies. Both are in the port of Ajim on the southwest side of the island.
