Night Life

Sousse is one of few places in Tunisia with a somewhat animated nightlife. It is confined mostly to the high tourist season. Being a city in a Muslim country, alcohol is hard to find and quite expensive. Some cafes and stores sell wine and beer as many locals also drink these beverages. It's available for 2-3 dinar for a 0.3 bottle of local beer and 2-12 dinar for a bottle of local wine in a store. The rate is double in a bar. Hotel bars sell 50 ml of vodka or gin for 3-6 dinar. State-owned stores are the only authorized agencies to sell hard liquor. A bottle of gin or whiskey costs about 80-120 dinar. No alcohol is sold on Fridays.
