Magnificent palace in the middle of Warsaw over-looking a man-made lake. During autumn, the scattered dried leaves around the palace create a spectacular view. The beautiful park surrounded by history, Lazienki Palace is a neoclassical palace located in the biggest park in Warsaw. The main palace is located in the middle of a small lake. It's baroque-classicist on one side, and completely classicist on another. The palace is located at the center of the park, on a small artificial island and was built from 1683 to 1689.
Lazienki Park or the Royal Baths Park is a summer residence of the last Polish King - set in a beautiful park in the middle of Warsaw and consisting of a series of small but elegant buildings - Theatre on the Water, Palace on the Water, Orangerie, etc. These are worth a visit to get a glimpse of the pleasure-seeking character of the last King. On Sundays, during summer, the Park hosts live Chopin concerts in front of the Chopin Monument in the rose garden. The Park is much loved by the people who flock here on the weekends to enjoy the stroll, feed the squirrels and ducks and relax amongst its chestnut trees.
