Saqsawaman is considered the best infrastructure region in the fifteenth century during the government of Inca Pachacutec. It is located 3700m above sea level. It is believed that the dry stone with which the walls are built has traveled about 20 kilometers to reach Saqsaywaman. The region is over three thousand hectares and fully-fledged with flora, fauna, and fantastic architecture. The walls are built zigzag, and the doors have a trapezoidal shape. The most giant wall weighs about 128 tons. Each type of door has particular names like Ajawanapunku, T’iopunku, and Wiracochapunku. It has many historical places to visit. The throne of the Inca is a stone seat sculpted in the form of a king’s throne. An interesting place that you must visit is Chincanas, which has historical underground caves. The average temperature of this place is 12 degrees Celsius. The rainy season is usually from November to March and the dry season is from April to October. Plan your visit during the dry season.
