The Pakistan Maritime Museum is a naval museum that attracts many tourists throughout the year, for its wonderful exhibits. Spread over a park of 28 acres of land, the museum has over six galleries and an auditorium. It is the place to be if you are interested in the history of the Pakistani Navy. You can explore the submarines, go through the galleries, read the maps or check out the amazing miniature paintings. The gallery comprises of artifacts, taxidermy, and ancient metallic weapons. A huge skeleton of a whale is displayed which is a popular attraction to children. It also displays Daphne Class Submarine PNS Hangor (S131), the minesweeper, PNS Mujahid (M164), Breguet Atlantic aircraft and a wooden barge that was given to the Naval Chief by Her Majesty during the 1960s.
Maritime Museum is located on the main Karsaz Road near PNS Karsaz which is accessible from all parts of the city. It is 12.9 km away from the city center.
