Mazar-e-Quaid is the final resting place of the great Muhammad Ali Jinnah, his sister Fatima Jinnah and the first prime minister of Pakistan, Liaquat Ali Khan. Also known as the Jinnah museum or the National Museum, it is located in the Jamshed quarters neighborhood of Karachi. The museum has nearly 10,000 visitors per day, the beautiful white tomb can be seen from miles and looks spectacular at nights. Designed by a Mumbai based architect called Yahya Merchant, it surely reminds you about the Taj Mahal. There are four entrances, fifteen fountains and a beautiful green chandelier which was gifted to Pakistan by China. This inquisitively formed catacomb is a landmark to Pakistan's author, Mohammed Ali Jinnah. It's set at the highest point of a ventured pyramid in a little park. Worked in 1958-68 from the structure of a Turkish draftsman, it is moderate and distinct. The white marble structure makes some admission to conventional styles with a square arrangement and supporting a half circle arch.
Mazar-E-Quaid is 3.2 km away from the city center.
There are regular buses from Jail Road which reaches LasBella costing you around 150 PKR. The museum is 7 minutes walk from LasBella.
You can take a taxi or Uber from the center and reach the museum in 5 minutes. It would cost you around 350 PKR.
