About Le Rocher

Le Rocher also called as the 'Monaco city' is that mesmerizing part of the city that still has an ancient old town look with historical architecture. A unique pistol-shaped rock symbolizing the Grimaldi dynasty adorns the place. Climbing up a series of stairs will take you to the top picturesque area of the rock. This rocky land is the house to Monaco-Ville, one of the old quarters for the royal family resort. In the olden days, the place served as the fortress for the Royals. Famous Dutch artist Kees Verkade created an enormous and magnificent status of the late Prince Rainier on the way up to the top of the rock. The Le Rocher is a historical site with natural scenery to blend immensely. The place still breathes the authentic Mediterranean vibe through its architecture, culture, and food.
