The Vilnius Museum of Illusions opened in 2016 and its main objective was to function as an interactive museum that will make the visitors question what they are seeing. Featuring close to 70 exhibits, all range from demonstrating optical illusions, displaying 3-D art, showcasing virtual reality, and consisting of installations that challenge the senses in the best possible way. The museum is mesmerizing and consists of images that seem to bend and shift and where people seem to be able to walk on walls too. The 3-D paintings and the perspective illusions that the museum houses were created by local artists. Another interesting thing about the museum is that four times a week, it also organizes dance performances from the Liepsnose Studios. This performance is essentially a form of dance that ends up combining the movements of dance with technology to produce a beautiful LED light show that showcases the wonderful history of Vilnius. The museum also organizes tours of the property during which a guide explains all of the science that goes into all of the exhibits. This museum is a place where visitors are encouraged to have as much fun as possible without any restrictions and you are also allowed to take pictures here.
