The Hiroshima Botanical Garden is located in Itsukaichi. The garden was opened to the public in 1976. The park has preserved rare native plant species from Japan and from around the world. Their seed exchange programs with around 200 other institutes in 34 countries has
resulted in a vast collection of plants. This park is ideal for relaxation and a good way to expand one’s knowledge of plants. The garden is a must visit during the springtime. Its large greenhouses and temperature controlled buildings ensure that all flowers and plants bloom all year round. The collection of plants makes this municipal botanical garden a must see in your itinerary.
Bus: Buses going to the garden leave from the Hiroshima Bus Center and JR Itsukaichi Station. A number of buses from Itsukaichi Station don't stop at the park but have a bus stop which is a short 10-15 minute walk from the park.
