About Kamala

Kamala is the craft store of the Crafts Council of India(CCI). It has a collection of innovative, unique arts, and textiles sourced immediately from artisans all over India. Kamala is one place that offers several beautiful souvenirs that you would adore to take home with you, including home furnishings, unique handiworks, astonishing pictures, and additional gift items. The collection of objects is eclectic, tasteful, and reasonably priced. Quality is paramount to the selection of crafts, and special attention is paid in packaging and displaying of products. The Craft Shop represents the artisans of India.

KAMALA is a glorification to Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay, the founder of Crafts Council of India and Delhi Crafts Council, and the store is named after her. The products at Kamala are designed Batik wallets, shaded miniatures, and wall hangings very differently, though still retaining that charming, folksy touch. The kind of finishing you will notice in the products gives an idea about the level of craftsmanship.Terracotta, stone, and wood are the predominant materials in use. Serving cups, dishes, tissue cases, pen gantries, and lampshades are some of the items on display. Watch out for the paper present covers and bags that are stashed off in a corner. Diminutive paintings and figurines are a must buy. The textile division on the first-floor displays a compilation of stoles and saris from the different Indian States. Kamala signifies lotus in the language of Sanskrit. At Kamala, the selection of valuable items are sourced directly from the craftsmen and are specially designed and chosen to showcase the innovation and excellent artistry.
