The Main Tower is the tallest skyscraper in Frankfurt and the fifth tallest building in Europe and named after the River Main. Built in the year 2000, the 56-storeyed and 656-feet tall building was designed by the architect's office Schweger und Partner and offers an old-world charm and a fantastic experience for the urban traveller. Nothing can beat the thrill of standing atop the observation deck on the modern tower and feeling the wind on your face and soaking in the breathtaking views. It also houses a restaurant on the 53rd floor that offers an amazing dining experience.
By train
Take the S-Bahn trains in the RMV public transport network. S-Bahn lines S1 to S9 (towards “Hauptwache” in the city centre) and alight at “Taunusanlage”.If you were to walk it would take you about ten minutes to get to the entrance of Main Tower.
By car
Take the motorway A66 and exit at “Miquelallee”, or take the A5 towards “Westkreuz” and exit onto the A648. From there, drive towards Frankfurt - Innenstadt – Messe and follow the signs to the central railway station (Hauptbahnhof). There, turn left into “Mainzer Landstrasse”, then right into “Junghofstrasse” and finally right again into “Neue Schlesingergasse”.
The entrance queue and takes about 30-40 minutes of time.
Try to be there before sunset to see the before and after sunset lights.
