About Eschenheimer Turm

The EschenheimerTurm or the Frankfurt Guard Tower is a well preserved and one of the few remaining medieval fortifications. The 14th century stone city gate consisting of eight levels and two attics is a 154-feet tall gothic style architectural round building surrounded by four domes and a huge cone-shaped dome. This iconic symbol of Frankfurt stands in a very urban environment and is a wonderful mix of old and new. The oldest and most unaltered landmark building in Frankfurt, it now serves as a popular tourist attraction and houses a restaurant and bar and good space for people to sit back and relax.
