The Lingering Garden is one of the largest classical private gardens in China. It was built in the Qing Dynasty style. Since 1997 it has been inscribed on the World Cultural Heritage List. The garden is known for exquisite architectural art. The Lingering Garden, covering 23,310 sq.m., is divided into the middle, eastern, western, and northern parts. The gardens impact is generated from its ideology, trying to bring into one small area as much architectural beauty and design as possible, which creates a stunning effect.
