Overseas Chinese Village (better known as OCT)throws light on the myriad minority ethnic cultures that make this vast country much less homogenous than imagined. It also serves as a great introduction to the history and traditions of China. This Chinese folk-cultural village is located on the bank of Shenzhen Bay and offers an authentic cultural experience. It highlights the traditional customs, art, and lifestyle of the ethnic minorities living throughout China. There is a huge opportunity to witness and participate in a lot of interesting shows. The world's biggest and most comprehensive miniature park, with a reproduction of nearly 100 famous tourist attractions in China. One can also witness the 5000 years of Chinese history. Most of the miniatures are scaled down to a ratio of 1:15. Also, one can see and hear folk songs, dances, and celebrations out here. The place is roughly fragmented into historical relics, natural landscapes, and folk customs.
