Yue Fei complex was built in memory of a patriotic general named Yue Fei. The Temple is situated in front of Qixia Hill facing the lake in Hangzhou and is composed of three parts, the tomb grounds, Loyalty Garden and Devotion Garden. Tourists often mention their appreciation the poems, the calligraphy that expresses respect to Yue Fei. When you visit you have to be prepared to be bombarded with several versions of Yue Fei's story all of them ending with one main lesson in mind, never give up your loyalty and devotion, the kneeling statues at the site represent the members who betrayed the general and people are encouraged to slap or physically harm them, a nice way to release some hidden inhibitions. A place truly fit for a warrior a chance to visit here should not be missed.
