China National Silk Museum is located near to the West Lake in Hangzhou. The building has a grand entrance and its spacious halls bring to life the exhibits which are arranged in glass containers or mannequins. It is one of the first state-level museums in China and the largest textile and costume museums in the world. The Museum is divided into a prologue hall, cultural relics hall, folk customs hall, sericulture hall, silk making hall, silk fabrics hall, printing and dyeing hall, modern achievements hall and Youyi shopping store and display more than one thousand modern and cultural items.
Take bus no. 12, 31, 42, 87 or 133, and get off at Silk Museum Station.
