About Ping Hu Qiu Yue

Translating literally to "Autumn Moon over the Calm Lake", Ping Hu Qiu Yue is one of the top ten classic scenic parks of West Lake and is located to the west of Bai Causeway and at the southern foot of the Solitary Hill, close to the famous West Lake. Especially during the calm nights of the autumn season, this lake is incredibly serene with its surface resembling a mirror, smooth and dazzlingly brilliant.   • Best time to visit Ping Hu Qiu Yue is between 07:00 a.m. and 07:00 p.m.
  • The attraction is the most beautiful late at night with the Moon's reflection over the lake but the last ferry from the island leaves before 6:00 p.m.
  • During the winter months, especially December, the snow may beautifully cover the bridge.
  • Book a terrace seat in the night for the best view of the lake.
  • Wheelchair accessibility is available.
  • Strollers may have to be checked in on the ferry.
