Baku Boulevard is a sea-facing open-air park cum esplanade with a history of more than a hundred years. Its origin lies in the time of oil tycoons who built their palatial houses across the coast of the Caspian Sea. The seafront was developed and changed gradually to the modern day boulevard, which is well connected with all the main parts of the city. It is a perfect place to enjoy the sunrise and sunset across the vast expanse of the sea, while enjoying a nice stroll across the park, listening to the music from the boxes over the sound of the wave. It has very well-maintained seats, a shore area and food stalls offering tasty local cuisines. The view of the city and the sea, along with the sculptures and architectural forms are soothing to the eye and mind. During the winter months, this place hosts an amazing Christmas market full of quirky little gift items.
