The Cloth Hall stands proud in the middle of the main square with nice arches and other architectural features. It was a major centre of international trade in medieval times where traveling merchants met to discuss business. It is now set up with a long central hallway and souvenir booths on either side. The place is busy especially when it is raining and in different seasons like Christmas/Easter decorations. The old traditional tea coffee shops are excellent for eating a pastry and people watching. You can go up to the terrace restaurants for a great view of the square. There is also an excellent underground museum telling the history of Krakow.
Night time illumination is a photographer's delight.
