The theme of the permanent exhibition in the Oskar Schindler Factory is about Krakow Under Nazi Occupation from 1939 to 1945. It tells the interesting story about Nazi Germans and the Jewish prisoners of Plaszow that arrived into Krakow 1939. Krakow's past has been recreated here in an evocative way in order for you to experience it in almost tangible way. The heart-wrenching exhibits present the tragedy of the Second World War, as well as the day to day life of the whole city of Krakow in a personal and collective dimensions. There is little information about Oskar Schindler, the German businessman who hated cruelties and bought an enamel factory in Krakow following the German invasion of Poland during World War. He saved over 1,200 Jews by hiring them in his factory. The exhibition space is so well distributed that when you walk around the tourist route you can feel like you are almost in a theater because of the elements of stage design and multimedia solutions. Watch out for attractive educational activities, a bookshop, a cafe, a cinema, and a temporary exhibition area. Wartime is depicted in videos on which natives speak about their feelings at the time of the war.
