The UXO Laos Visitor Center is an information centre which explains you about the unexploded ordnance, that the Lao PDR people went through which is the most heavily bombed country, per capita, in history. There are many villages in Laos which were contaminated and more than 580,000 bombing missions were conducted. Countless babies were dropped in Laos from which approx 30% failed to detonate. Now Approx 17 provinces of Laos suffer from UXO contamination 1 out of the 46 poorest districts in Laos have UXO contamination. This centre proves to show all such relevant information through videos, pictures etc. I would suggest to visit this centre and understand the ramifications of scatter bombing on the rural countryside decades after the bombing.
Luang Prabang people usually walk from one place to another so if you decide to walk its walkable about 25 mins or you may also take a Tuk Tuk which costs around 50,000 Kip.
