ROYAL TEMPLE MUSEUM is situated right amidst the gardens of Luang Prabang’s main boulevards also known as Haw Kham. You will get to learn a lot in details about the Lao history and culture here as the main building dates back from the early 20th century. The museum originally was the residence of the king and was designed in the French Beaux-Arts style, with traditional Lao culture. The grounds of the museum has a number of other additions including a new exhibition hall and a chapel (Haw Prabang), as well a statue of King Sisavangvong. Here you can take excellent photos of the museum compound from the Mount Phousi steps.T he museum also has a Phra Bang, which is the country’s most sacred Buddha image and is now kept in a richly ornamented shrine here.
As we are aware that in Luang Prabang a tuk-tuk is easily available to you wherever you are and also to wherever you are going but other than that it's easy to walk to the museum as its downtown from Luang Prabang, or you can also rent a bicycle or motorcycle or take a taxi
