The Traditional Arts and Ethnology Centre is dedicated to four of Laos’ main ethnic minority groups. It has a vast collection which includes traditional costumes, religious artefacts, and crafts, while exhibits feature signage in French, English, and Lao. It's great to see representations of diverse Laos tribal/cultural groups, their costumes, traditions and different types of musical instruments that the laws use. Well, the museum also includes a beautiful gift shop, Where you will also find a local artist making batik-type work. Not to forget there is a small space for kids where they can get their hands-on.
The Traditional Arts and Ethnology Centre is a pretty easy walk from the Royal Palace, at the base of Mt. Phousi. But still, you can take a cycle from most central Luang Prabang locations, or even a tuk-tuk
