Rainbow Street, also named as Abu Bakr al Siddiq Street, is a historic area of downtown Amman. The area is a promenade of restaurants and shops and attracts locals and tourists alike. From cafes to luxury restaurants, it is the city's best place to shop and eat. Many national and international companies, including the 'Center for Studies on the Built Environment' and headquarters of the Jordan River Foundation, are located along the street. Some important historical sites like the al-Mufti House, the residence of King Talal, the home of the former military commander and Prime Minister Zaid ibn Shaker are all located on this street. Souk Jara a famous souvenir shop close to the street. All of these attractions in close proximity make this street worthy of a visit.
Rainbow Street is just a few minutes walk from the city center. The best option will be to walk on foot.
You can hire a taxi but it takes more time than walking.
