About Jordan Museum

Located in the new downtown area of Ras al-'Ayn, the Jordan Museum celebrates the country's deep human history with its aesthetically-designed galleries. It also serves as the national center for learning and knowledge of Jordan's history and culture.

How to reach

Buses are overcrowded and unreliable. Take a taxi. It is cheaper in Amman than most other cities. Tariff/km is around 0.72 JD and a 1-hour wait costs 5 JD.

Tips

  • Follow a respectable dress code 
  • Don't forget to look at the Dead Sea Scrolls.
  • Respect and follow the museum etiquette.
  • The museum has complete air conditioning so one should dress accordingly.
  • As all signs are in English as well as in Arabic, it's easy to understand.
  • Photography allowed except for the Dead Sea Scrolls area.
