About Tetsugako-no Michi

The philosopher's stone is a pedestrian path encompassing a canal lined with cherry trees. It is a popular destination for tourists and locals alike in the month of March when cherries blossom. It is also popular in November when the leaves change color to prepare for winter. The path is named after the philosopher Kitaro Nishida, who used to walk and meditate on this path. Geographically, this walkway goes from the Nanzen-Ji temple to the Kinkakun-Ji temple.
