Magnificent and grand, the temple is a great landmark of the Banglore city, which was built 15 years back. Tall and beautifully structured Shiva idol is the main attraction of the temple. The pathway to the temple is very dark and long and it looks like a tunnel, which one has to cross to reach the Shiva idol. The waterfalls from Lord's hair and one can actually feel the drops and mist in the premises. Several people have worked day and night to make the temple a reality. Today, the temple is the holy abode of Lord Shiva where the gigantic 65-foot tall idol of Lord Shiva stands as a symbol of towering faith. It propagates spirituality and helps a devotee to connect with God. The ambience of the temple is serene and full of peace. Miniature forms of the 12 jyothirlingas are in the temple cave within the temple premises, where holy places like Hardwar, Rishikesh, Badrinath, Kedarnath & Amarnath are depicted in sequence. It is a perfect escape into a peaceful and holy atmosphere away from the far maddening crowd of the city. During the festival time, the temple is beautifully decorated and the atmosphere is jovial with people visiting the temple with full religiousness and happiness. It is the best place to meditate and seek solace as the continuous chanting in the temple helps you focus and meditate.
It is 6.8 km from the city center. One can hire a taxi, take a bus, own personal vehicle or go on foot.
Bus number 330 A, 330 C and 331 can be taken from MG Road. The buses are available every 15 minutes. The ticket would cost around Rs. 17 for this distance.
